How to Clean Patio Furniture Cushions and Canvas

STEP 1
Clean the dust and debris for cushions outside. Using cleaner to let dust and debris gone. The next, remove the cushion covers (patio furniture without cushions). Using mild laundry detergent. Wash the covers in warm water. Hang them up to dry.

STEP 2
Prepare a cleaning solution. Mix 2 gallons of warm water and approximately 1/2 capful of mild laundry detergent in a bucket.Fully saturate the inside cushions with the mild detergent above 30 minutes.

STEP 4
Protect the fabric. Spray an outdoor-fabric protector and water repellent on the cushions after it has dried. For removable covers, spray them with the fabric protector while they are still hanging. This will help the canvas repel water and stains. Spray the fabric from two to three feet away, Place the covers back on the rattan patior furniture when the product has dried.

Warnings and Tips:
Sap and dirt from trees may fall onto patio furniture, leading to difficult-to-clean stains. To prevent this, avoid placing the furniture under trees and protect it with patio furniture covers when not in use.
If a stain or soiled area is particularly difficult to remove, pour soap or detergent directly on the stain. Scrub the detergent into the canvas with a soft brush and rinse it with warm water.
